"A.A.D" stands for "Age At Death", so he died when he was 26 years old, not 26 years ago.
He's mentally and physically stuck at 26 too, he can't physically age without shapeshifting and he can never mentally age.
He's been dead for probably half of a decade (so he died about 5 or 6 years ago, not 26)
